Is the CUDDLE KARRIER for small babies?
Yes, the CUDDLE KARRIER is designed for use with even newborn*babies.
You can use the CUDDLE
KARRIER to support the weight of a swaddled
new born. Use the sling seat positioned under your swaddled little
one to support their weight and secure them with your arm. The
surface texture of the fabric has a 'non slip' nap, designed
to 'bond' with baby's garments and blanket. Used in this fashion
your arm is necessary for security.
For a baby under the age of two months (with
normal birth weight) or for one who has not yet muscle development
sufficient to support the neck, or unable to sit on their own,
you will want to support them with your arm. The built in diaper
bag makes a perfect arm rest for you and the crook of your arm
makes a great head rest for your little one. Adjust carrier height
to rest your arm comfortably on the pack. A great benefit of
this carry, early in baby's development is the skin to skin contact
that is so important for their neural
development. Alternately, it is easy to shift carrying positions
to have baby up close to your neck to snuggle into your neck
especially when asleep ( the carotid artery of your neck, comforts
your baby with skin to skin contact, warmth and rhythm of your
heart beat).
Your hands are still free, but for total 'arms-free'
you will want to wait until your baby has good neck and back
strength.

How heavy a child can the
CUDDLE KARRIER accommodate?
The CUDDLE KARRIER is extremely strong and
is designed for use by newborn* babies through children of any age that still wish
to be carried... assuming you have the
strength and wish to carry them.
If you are starting out with the CUDDLE KARRIER for a larger baby,
be aware that the new method of carrying uses different muscles
than carrying with arms only. Take it easy for the first week
or so. To avoid strain, use the CUDDLE
KARRIER for short periods of time with
breaks until you build up your muscles. An ideal way to do this,
is to switch between Mom and Dad on outings. Once you have conditioned
your muscles you are on your way to great times with your little
one and your CUDDLE KARRIER. Have
FUN!
For use for a heavier/older child you may wish to add a waist
belt...see FAQ below regarding a waist
belt.

*Newborns require the support of your arm until they can safely
hold their own head. This still leaves your hands free but not
'both' arms free.
Depending on birth weight, babies generally acquire good neck
strength around two months.

Does the CUDDLE KARRIER have a waist belt?
No....but....one may be added at
any time as required...
The CUDDLE KARRIER is designed to be fast
and easy to use and of course comfortable. We have considered
redesigning, to include a waist belt. After much thought and
discussion we agreed along with users, that the cost/compromise
to price and convenience along with ease of use was something
that we did not want to tamper with. One of the biggest features
making the Cuddle Karrier so attractive, is how very fast and
easy it is to put on, adjust, remove or re-position without help.
We realized that a parent starting out with
the Cuddle Karrier for an older/heavier baby, might be aided
by a waist belt until such time as their muscle tone increased
from use. A waist belt is an option, you can add a waist belt
at any time if desired. Simply thread a belt through the Cuddle
Karrier's crotch strap as shown here.
One suggestion: if you use a waist pack as your belt, it offers
more comfort, as well as extra storage...you can always use

How large a Parent will the
CUDDLE KARRIER fit?
The CUDDLE KARRIER has been designed to fit
most any 'body'. It easily adjusts to fit both compact or great
parents.
We have been listening to our customers; after requests for a
larger size, the new Cuddle Karrier is now able to accommodate
even greater parents than previously.
Do you offer a discount for
twins or multiple births ?
Yes! We know that you may have double
the joy (or more) but
not usually double the budget, so we would be happy to help out. The CUDDLE KARRIER is an ideal method
of carrying twins
and multiple births as it can be used independently by mom and
dad or used by one or the other to carry both children. We have
one Grandmother who has ordered three sets of Cuddle Karriers
for her three sets of twin grandchildren...now there is a family
with a lot of joy!!!
The non-skid dots of the Cuddle Karrier's shoulder piece irritate my sensitive skin when I wear a bathing suit.
Do you offer the Cuddle Karrier
with a different shoulder piece? *
No, Sorry.
When using it occasionally with a low neck shirt or swim suit, we suggest you slip a baby face cloth under it as a temporary solution (it offers double duty, now you've got a readily available burp up cloth). A longer term solution is to cut the foot off of a black sock and slip it over the shoulder piece. Roll the cut edge inside for a finished look. Recycle sock tops in a variety of colours to colour coordinate, or use one with baby/toddler motifs for fun and whimsy.
* We examined the idea of changing the shoulder
piece and replacing the non-skid rubber dots with other material.
Upon examination and review of customer opinion, we found they
add greatly to ease of use of the Cuddle Karrier and all things
considered, were too valuable to eliminate. It was decided that
to offer two interchangeable pads; would increase the cost and
would out weigh the benefit.
How many uses are there for
the CUDDLE KARRIER...
I have seen it listed as 7 and also as 8?
The CUDDLE KARRIER has as many uses as you can find for it. We have
identified 8. The eighth use was just recently identified by
an astute user and forwarded to us. We are very thankful for
this great new idea for making parenting easier. Many thanks
to our dear customers who take the time to write us and let us
know of their discoveries.
The confusion lies in the fact that previously
the number of uses read 7, and now with 8 uses, we are changing
our information to reflect this.
What colour is the CUDDLE KARRIER?
The NEW CUDDLE KARRIER is now, all BLACK.
We have been listening to our customers; after
so many requests for all black, we are pleased to offer it. We
are thankful to all who took the time to communicate and for
your colour guidance.
The webbing, zippers and accents are a very
rich silky black with fasteners and body in black. The Cuddle Karrier is designed to look good and blend
with any attire - casual or office. The
CUDDLE KARRIER looks equally good on Mom or Dad.
The response has been so great to the new
all black Cuddle Karrier, that we have retired the previous black
and teal version. We apologize for any confusion resulting from
older images still appearing on the Internet, showing the black
and teal model.
